The Role

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a skilled communications professional to join our Global Technology team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and be capable of developing and executing communications strategies that drive engagement and support the goals and objectives of the Global Technology organization. This individual will have a proven track record of collaboration with senior leaders, partners, and cross-functional teams, and will be able to foster robust communication and content channels, as well as engagement mechanisms, that positively impact our Global Technology teammates and NIKE Inc.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will be responsible for driving communications initiatives within a large technology organization, working closely with Global Technology leaders, teammates, and strategic partners from across NIKE Inc. to execute cross-functionally. You will:

  • Design and execute global, comprehensive communication and content strategies and plans with emphasis on senior leader communication

  • Draft narrative content aligned to Nike’s strategic principles and plans

  • Work cross-functionally within a technology environment to drive storytelling to non-technical audiences

  • Customize approaches based on applicable stakeholder needs

  • Craft and distribute regular cross-team communications and content across multiple communication channels

  • Track communication project progress and adjust plans as necessary to achieve goals

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be a part of the Global Technology Management Office and report to the Senior Manager of the Business Operations & Engagement team. You will be on a central team that drives business operations, communications, and engagement initiatives across Global Technology. On a day-to-day basis, you will engage with various levels of stakeholders, executive sponsors and teams as well as partners across all of NIKE, Inc. to help define, build, and implement organizational communication strategies. In addition, you will also partner directly with senior leaders in crafting storytelling and defining communication vehicles, serving as a key thought partner.
 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Any acceptable combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant or a related field.

  • 4+ years professional experience within a technology organization

  • Relevant professional experience working with senior executives within a communications capacity

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Strong competency to interact with all levels of organizational leadership

  • Proven track record of implementing successful communication strategies

  • Required to use software applications to complete and manage tasks, schedules, and projects
