Lead Technical Program Manager - Consulting Products
The Consulting Products Engineering team supports the Consulting Products function within the Advisors Consulting Business. Our mission is to deliver technical solutions that enable the consulting organization to efficiently productize offerings, improve profitability, and leverage emerging technologies. We partner with internal technical teams and external vendors to build scalable platforms and tools that modernize consulting delivery.
This is a newly established engineering function within Consulting, and this role will play a critical part in helping to define how we operate, deliver, and scale.
Technical Program Managers at Mastercard collaborate to define the how and when of our strategic delivery goals. This role plays a pivotal role in driving complex, cross-functional programs and maintaining alignment between execution and organizational objectives. The responsibility of this teammate is to ensure technical solutions are delivered on time and meet desired outcomes, while helping establish the operating model for a growing organization.
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager with a proven ability to operate independently and tackle ambiguous areas with a focus on delivering impactful results. This role requires someone who can manage complex programs, drive strategic execution, and lead cross-organizational efforts while helping stand up foundational program practices.
About the role
• Operate with a high degree of independence to address ambiguous problem spaces, establish clarity, and drive timely execution.• Help establish foundational program management practices, including delivery processes, governance, and operating rhythms for a newly forming engineering organization.• Lead coordination and execution across internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and delivery outcomes.• Identify and bridge gaps between regions, architectures, vendors, and organizations, creating scalable patterns for cross-team collaboration.• Manage escalations and drive resolution of complex delivery challenges impacting multiple teams or stakeholders.• Serve as the primary point of contact for programs, communicating confidently with senior leadership and translating complex information into clear, actionable updates.• Provide accurate and timely visibility into program status, risks, and decisions to a range of stakeholders.• Facilitate constructive dialogue across teams and partners to resolve misalignment and enable predictable delivery.• Oversee execution across multiple teams and domains, creating effective reporting mechanisms and continuously improving delivery processes.• Support the scaling of engineering squads across regions by establishing repeatable delivery models and onboarding patterns for new teams.• Build consensus, drive accountability, and deliver outcomes with limited guidance in a fast-evolving environment.

• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive execution in ambiguous, early-stage environments.• Proven experience managing complex technical programs across multiple teams, including coordination with external vendors or partners.• Strong expertise in agile delivery models, scrum practices, and CI/CD environments.• Track record of managing escalations, aligning stakeholders, and delivering large-scale initiatives.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.• Strong understanding of business strategy, technology landscape, and design trade-offs.• Ability to build consensus, influence without authority, and lead through ambiguity.• Experience helping establish or improve ways of working, delivery processes, or program governance models is a plus.
