Primary Responsibilities:
  • Virtual Environment Strategy & Capability Ownership
    • Own the end to end virtual environment capability, including strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, and investment prioritization across Windows Virtual Desktop, Azure Virtual Desktop, VDI, DaaS, session based apps, and hybrid compute solutions
    • Translate business, clinical, and workforce needs into scalable, secure, and sustainable virtual workplace capabilities aligned to enterprise standards and technology strategy
    • Define future state architecture, capability maturity targets, and retirement plans for legacy virtualization solutions
  • Technical Acumen - Virtual & Cloud Platforms
    • Demonstrate solid working knowledge of virtual desktop technologies, identity and access management, profile/container solutions, endpoint security integrations, and hybrid cloud architectures
    • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to evaluate vendor platforms, assess technical trade offs, and ensure solutions meet performance, resiliency, security, and cost requirements
    • Understand how virtual environments integrate with endpoint management (UEM), network, identity, security, and application delivery stacks
  • Capability Lifecycle & Delivery Management
    • Own the full capability lifecycle from ideation through delivery, operational readiness, steady state support, and eventual decommissioning
    • Establish clear entry/exit criteria for moving virtual solutions from pilot to production, including documentation, monitoring, support readiness, and handoffs to ITSS/operations
    • Partner with delivery, engineering, and operations teams to ensure reliable execution against roadmap commitments
  • Operational Readiness & Service Performance
    • Define and track operational success metrics (availability, reliability, performance, user experience, support volume, and cost)
    • Ensure virtual environment capabilities are supportable at scale, with clear ownership, escalation paths, and vendor support models
    • Drive continuous improvement using incident trends, adoption data, and customer feedback
  • Financial & Vendor Management
    • Own financial accountability for the virtual environment capability, including budgets, run vs. grow investment decisions, license optimization, and cost to serve analysis
    • Lead strategic vendor engagement and contract alignment, ensuring value realization, roadmap transparency, and commercial leverage
    • Build business cases that clearly articulate cost avoidance, productivity gains, and risk reduction
  • Stakeholder Leadership & Cross Functional Influence
    • Act as the single accountable owner for the virtual environment capability across business, engineering, security, networking, endpoint, and support teams
    • Communicate complex technical topics in clear, outcome oriented language for executives and non technical stakeholders
    • Facilitate prioritization decisions across competing needs with transparency and data driven rationale
  • Change Management, Adoption & Workforce Enablement
    • Partner with OCM and communications teams to drive adoption, training, and change readiness for new or evolving virtual environment capabilities
    • Ensure solutions improve user experience, clinician productivity, and workforce flexibility, not just technical outcomes
    • Incorporate voice of customer feedback into continuous roadmap refinement.
  • Risk, Security & Compliance Alignment
    • Ensure all virtual environment capabilities align with security, privacy, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards
    • Proactively identify risks related to scale, performance, access, or vendor dependency and drive mitigation plans
    • Partner closely with security and risk teams during design and operational phases
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of experience in technology delivery, platform ownership, or capability/product management, with direct exposure to virtual desktop or virtual compute environments
  • Experience defining and managing operational success metrics, including availability, performance, user experience, adoption, and support outcomes
  • Experience leading ambiguous problem spaces, prioritizing competing demands, and making data driven decisions aligned to enterprise strategy
  • Demonstrated experience owning end to end capabilities across strategy, roadmap definition, delivery execution, operational readiness, and steady state support
  • Solid working knowledge of virtual environments and hybrid architectures, including virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), cloud hosted virtual desktops, identity and access integration, endpoint security, and performance considerations
  • Proven ability to partner with engineering, architecture, operations, security, and support teams to deliver scalable, reliable technology capabilities
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience with budget management, cost optimization, licensing models, and business case development
  • Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, outcome focused messaging for executive and non technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., cloud, virtualization, IT service management, or product/capability management)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure based virtual services), modern identity platforms, and enterprise endpoint management integrations
  • Experience supporting large, geographically distributed workforces, including clinical, operational, or regulated environments
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, including roadmap alignment, contract value realization, and performance accountability
  • Experience in a capability management, platform ownership, or technical product management role within a matrixed enterprise organization
  • Familiarity with technology service management (ITSM), operational transition models, and production support readiness standards
  • Exposure to change management and adoption strategies, including training, communications, and workforce enablement for new technology capabilities
