JOB SUMMARY
Candidates located within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh are expected to work from our office three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).
This role supports the full application product lifecycle for clinical and utilization management software, with a specific focus on driving key technical initiatives such as data integration, cloud migration, and the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence. The Lead Technical Analyst leverages significant independent judgment and discretion to collaborate extensively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
They function as a pivotal bridge, translating high-level clinical and utilization management software business needs into detailed technical requirements for new capabilities and enhancements, encompassing data structures, platform configurations, and AI model integration points. This involves gathering project specifications, developing business cases, and conducting cost analysis where appropriate.
The Lead Technical Analyst analyzes complex data to identify business problems, trends, and opportunities for process improvements within clinical and utilization management software. They are responsible for creating and executing test plans, providing root cause analysis and corrective action plans for technical issues, and verifying the successful delivery of solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring quality. They proactively identify, document, and resolve risks, defects, and issues across the software's technical landscape.
Bringing market trends and competitive insights, particularly in data integration, cloud technologies, and AI, they articulate the business value of proposed clinical and utilization management software solutions. This individual acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the most complex, cross-functional projects related to clinical and utilization management software, often with potential regulatory risk exposure, customer service, and financial impacts.
As a primary customer contact, they may negotiate project requirements against available resources. They resolve the most complex technical issues, which often span multiple systems (including data sources, core platforms, and AI components), developing alternative solutions with a deep understanding of potential enterprise-wide impacts.
This role requires an expert-level understanding of end-to-end processes and potential integration issues as new clinical and utilization management software enhancements and applications are developed. The Lead Technical Analyst will possess an expert understanding of how changes within clinical and utilization management software impact interconnected enterprise systems, including considerations for regulatory risk, customer service, and financial implications. Furthermore, they will mentor Associate, Intermediate, and Senior Technical Analysts, sharing functional and organizational knowledge.
Their core technical domains include, but are not limited to, Data Integration strategies and platforms, application architecture and cloud migration methodologies, and AI/ML integration patterns.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead in working with customers, Technical Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, Capability Managers, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions on complex issues. Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, requirements, testing plan, testing schedule, testing scenarios, testing outcomes, user task analysis, wire framing, usability testing, personalization to different clients, and user interface design.
- Collaborate with or lead cross-functional teams, leveraging diverse technical skills and perspectives to proactively identify and address technology-related challenges across project phases, driving insights and solutions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide required business and/or subject matter expertise for both project and production related activities on complex issues, including new strategic programs or initiatives impacting current and existing systems.
- Ensure compliance for required standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Interface with the business areas, customers, partners, vendors, technical staff and project teams to drive value, return on investments and innovative solutions. This includes providing alternative solutions, including vendor solution acquisitions, with maximum benefits while reducing cost (e.g. cost benefit analysis, pros/cons of solutions).
- Lead in supporting various aspects of requirements testing (e.g. testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production defects are realized and completing analysis of the results tying back to customer impacts.
- Communicate in an exemplary manner with team members, customers, partners and management, including assisting with or conducting requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction in Product and Technology Solutions.

EXPERIENCE

Pay Range Minimum:
$78,900.00Pay Range Maximum:
$147,500.00Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
