The Role
About this role:
Well Fargo is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Lead Systems Operations Engineer to join our Technology Operations team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable, resilient, and intelligent infrastructure solutions. You will play a key role in driving automation, developing APIs, reducing operational toil, and enabling self-service capabilities through cutting-edge technologies including Generative AI and Agent development.
In this role, you will:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-native solutions using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Automation & IaC: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using APIs & Scripts and automate operational tasks using Python and other scripting tools
  • AI-Driven Operations: Leverage Artificial Intelligence and Python frameworks to identify and eliminate toil and build intelligent self-service solutions for internal teams
  • Linux Systems Engineering: Administer and optimize Linux-based environments across cloud platforms
  • Collaboration & Enablement: Partner with engineering teams, and development teams to create reusable automation patterns and scalable infrastructure solutions
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with best practices and organizational policies
  • Change and Incident Management: proficient in Incident and Change management.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles
  • Strong proficiency in Linux system administration
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Expertise in developing APIs and UI development using Python for operations modernization
  • Experience implementing AI/ML solutions by leveraging existing enterprise models in operational workflows
  • Familiarity with Prompt engineering concepts and tools (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI function calling)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.

  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
  • Working experience with REDIS Platform
  • DevOps Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Github
  • Monitoring & Performance: Tools like Prometheus, Grafana.
Job Expectations:
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
  • Need to be available for on-call support
  • The flexibility to work in ad-hoc shifts when require
