The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Lead Systems Administrator to work onsite in Doral, Florida and have the opportunity to oversee CI/CD pipeline implementation, automation, and the support of Enterprise Core Services (ECS) and Client Provisioning Services (CPS) for IT and Cyber Services programs supporting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services SCITES 2 contract. The Lead Systems Administrator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining automated systems and managing core enterprise services that enhance the efficiency and resilience of IT services across USSOUTHCOM's Area of Responsibility (AOR). This role requires a deep understanding of CI/CD methodologies, automation tools, enterprise service management, and IT infrastructure in mission-critical environments.
Primary Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the automation of system deployment, testing, and operations in alignment with USSOUTHCOM’s mission objectives.

Develop and manage automated infrastructure to support seamless deployment and lifecycle management of IT and cyber services, including ECS and CPS, across USSOUTHCOM’s AOR.

Manage and maintain Enterprise Core Services (ECS) to ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of critical infrastructure components, including directory services, DNS, and other core IT functions.

Oversee the implementation of Client Provisioning Services (CPS) to ensure efficient delivery, deployment, and maintenance of client devices, software packages, and updates across the command.

Collaborate with engineering and development teams to ensure the integration of automation processes and ECS/CPS capabilities within system design and operations, promoting efficiency and security.

Implement robust configuration management practices to ensure consistent system states and reduce the risk of human error.

Oversee the development and execution of automated testing procedures to verify that systems meet USSOUTHCOM's operational and security requirements.

Ensure that all automation, ECS, CPS, and CI/CD activities are aligned with cyber-informed architectures and that configuration management is maintained through each stage of service delivery.

Facilitate the transition of IT services from development to production environments, incorporating automation processes to minimize disruptions.

Drive continual service improvement (CSI) initiatives by identifying opportunities for increased automation, optimizing ECS and CPS, and developing solutions that enhance service resilience and security.

Coordinate with program management, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that system administration activities align with USSOUTHCOM’s strategic, operational, and tactical goals.

Monitor and maintain system performance using automated tools to provide proactive identification and resolution of issues, ensuring mission readiness and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT system administration, with a focus on CI/CD pipeline implementation, automation, and enterprise service management.

Must currently hold and be able to maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.

ITIL Foundation Certification

CompTIA Security+ or Equivalent IAT Level II/III Certification

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or equivalent)

Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Puppet, or equivalent.

Proven ability to design and maintain automated infrastructure in mission-critical environments, ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

Experience with Enterprise Core Services (ECS) such as directory services, DNS, and system integration for core IT capabilities.

Experience with Client Provisioning Services (CPS) including device management, software deployment, and client updates.

Experience with configuration management tools and maintaining automated systems that align with cybersecurity best practices.

Familiarity with managing system transition processes, integrating new services into existing environments using automation.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues proactively.

Must be proficient in Spanish and be able to speak, read, and communicate fluently.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Experience in a DoD or government environment, particularly supporting combatant commands or similar defense organizations.

Knowledge of USSOUTHCOM’s mission, operational objectives, and command structure.

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Pay Range:Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
