$80,000.00 /Yr. - $110,000.00 /Yr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

About This Job

Axos is looking for a Lead Support Engineer to join our team. This position is on-site at our HQ in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff
  • Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed
  • Prioritize numerous issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules and workflows
  • Perform systems configuration and administration, troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced DB query and programming skills to drive incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Client management including pro-active communications, responsive follow through, and advocacy for client issues within internal departments
  • Collaborate extensively with peers, Business Analysts, infrastructure teams and other business units to resolve client issues while actively contributing to a growing knowledge network that improves the effectiveness of our team and the information available to our clients
  • Support the release management process, ensuring that all production changes and releases of in-house and third party applications are processed according to Change Management policies and procedures
  • Act as a technical liaison with outside vendors. Validate, implement and work with the vendor to debug their code for the systems infrastructure of IT application projects as needed
  • Communicates with lines of business and management, the overall status and health of the application
  • Looks for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of incident resolution and determining root cause
  • Tests and validates system availability and correct operation


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' of relevant IT experience (Systems and Production Support)
  • 3+ years' of experience working on support of 24×7 applications with corresponding support operations staff
  • 3+ years' of experience with Dynatrace, and other monitoring and systems level operations applications
  • 3+ years' of experience with F5 load balancers, Cisco Routers, and other network appliances/equipment
  • 3+ years' of experience configuring, maintaining and supporting Windows servers utilizing registered services, Windows Task Manager, and IIS
  • 3+ years' of experience configuring, maintaining and supporting Open VMS servers, or equivalent Unix/Linux
  • 3+ years' of experience working with C#, ASP.NET, XML and REST webservices
  • 3+ years' of experience working with MS SQL and Oracle RDB DBs, with some working knowledge of SSIS package and Stored Procedure deployment
  • Experience working with Service Now, ADO, Github, and other work tracking and DevOps platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Incident and problem management, and release planning/operations
  • Exhibits a strong sense of urgency for high severity incidents. Able to assess the customer impact and provide tactical solutions
  • SDLC understanding- Waterfall/Agile preferred
  • Able to contribute to:
    • 1. Automation
    • 2. Causal analysis
    • 3. Develop shared/common solutions
