We combine Mars' scale with the agility of a startup, driving innovation through data, automation, and AI. If you thrive in an inspiring, entrepreneurial environment, join us.

The Role

Reporting to the Lead, ERP Functionals, you will serve as the enterprise process owner and functional authority for all supply chain execution, procurement, inventory, and warehousing systems across Mars Snacking Accelerator. You will steer the SCM capability roadmap, directly line-manage the SCM/SCP Functional Analyst, and hold core accountability for Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Advanced Warehouse Management (EWM/AWM), batch/FEFO traceability, and 3PL logistics integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • SCM Strategy & P2P Architecture: Partner with Procurement, Logistics, and Plant Warehousing leaders to convert operational goals into ERP capabilities. Architect end-to-end P2P workflows (purchase orders, subcontracting/co-manufacturing, automated 3-way invoice matching) and enforce a "Clean Core" standard-first architecture.
  • Warehouse & Inventory Mastery: Drive functional design for inventory management and advanced warehousing (EWM/AWM/IM), establishing standardized strategies for inbound staging, putaway, wave picking, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
  • 3PL Partner & B2B/EDI Integration: Own functional integration between SAP S/4HANA and external 3PL warehouse (WMS) and carrier (TMS) platforms. Govern logistics EDI/B2B transaction flows (943,944, 940, 945, 947, 846)
  • Batch Traceability & Food Safety: Enforce SAP batch management rules, strict First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) picking logic, and shelf-life tracking for audit-ready lot traceability aligned with FDA, FSMA, and Mars Quality & Food Safety standards.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Directly lead, mentor, and oversee the SCM / SCP Functional Analyst. Masterfully match the analyst and partner resources to initiatives based on project complexity and individual strengths.
  • Project Delivery, AI & AMS Support: Deliver projects using SAP Activate, SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), Jira, Monday.com, and Smartsheet. Drive adoption of AI agents and SAP Situation Handling in a single strategy to resolve supply chain exceptions. Lead bi-annual cloud regression testing and manage AMS support vendors against strict SLA/KPI metrics.

Qualifications (Must-Haves):

  • SAP S/4HANA Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience architecting, delivering, and leading SAP S/4HANA enterprise solutions, with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience considered a strong plus.
  • P2P & Warehouse Depth: In-depth functional mastery of operational purchasing, subcontracting, 3-way match, and Advanced/Extended Warehouse Management (EWM/AWM/IM).
  • 3PL & EDI Integration: Proven experience integrating SAP ERP with external 3PL WMS/TMS partners and governing logistics EDI message sets (943,944, 940, 945, 947, 846).
  • Industry: 5+ years in CPG or Food & Beverage environments (batch management, FEFO shelf-life allocation, co-manufacturing, cold chain, and lot traceability).
  • Delivery & Tooling: Practical experience using SAP Activate, SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), Jira, Monday.com, or Smartsheet, combined with AI agent and Situation Handling exception automation.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Nice-to-Haves:
