Role Overview

This role includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. It involves evaluating supplier performance, conducting audits, and collaborating with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost. This critical role maintains the integrity of the supply chain and ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Qualify suppliers and conduct audits to assess compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, processes, and systems to ensure alignment with company needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, including defect rates, delivery times, and adherence to specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers through qualification processes.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and manufacturing, to address supplier-related challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier audits, performance metrics, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management on supplier quality performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
  • Promote Lean manufacturing principles and best practices within the supply chain.
  • Travel up to 50%

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Sourcing)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Sourcing
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens.  GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance
  • Experience in high volume production environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
