In this role you will:
- Lead complex, high-impact initiatives across payment products including alternative payment methods (APMs), debit, account-to-account (A2A), and digital wallets.
- Drive large-scale planning efforts that shape the future of payments and elevate customer experience.
- Provide principal-level strategic consulting to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Represent Wells Fargo on industry boards and committees focused on payments innovation and emerging financial technologies.
- Analyze long-term challenges, including fintech disruption and competitive threats, to inform strategic direction.
- Identify and evaluate strategic investments and partnership opportunities in high-growth areas.
- Make decisions in complex, ambiguous situations that influence cross-functional teams and drive new initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of innovation and strategic thinking.
- Approve and refine processes for strategic opportunities, including wallet partner ROI frameworks and cross-border margin strategies.
- Collaborate across all levels of the organization to resolve issues and align on strategic goals.
- Partner with executive leadership to define business strategy and execute aligned business plans.
- Communicate strategic plans and priorities to senior management, ensuring alignment with market trends and enterprise objectives.
- Deliver actionable market and competitive insights to inform leadership decisions and guide strategic planning.
- 5+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, market sizing, and competitive analytics
- Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services strategy, with a strong understanding of industry dynamics.
- Proven track record in competitive intelligence, market analysis, and delivering actionable insights.
- Exceptional executive communication skills and ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with digital wallet ecosystems, cross-border payment infrastructure, and emerging payment technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Proven commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of market trends, innovations, and regulatory developments.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
