Lead Staff Engineer - QA
What you will do
- Contribute in the implementation of the highly scalable smart building technology components which include application code development, middleware development, database design, web services development, and associated Java services.
- The engineer will implement the various pieces of the architecture and thus have a direct impact on delivering the smart building components on-time, within budget and in accordance to the defined architectural vision and performance expectations.
- Analyze complex issues and modify working methods in own discipline. Strong analytical skills are essential.
- No direct reports;
- Under general supervision; ability to exercise judgment. Must work effectively with a Team Lead/Architect and implement the features as directed by the Team Lead/Architect. Must be self-motivated and a "self-starter"
- The engineer is responsible to deliver high quality applications that meet the needs of the different Johnson Controls verticals. Must proactively identify and react to changing technical and business requirements.

- Being a key member of the global development team that will deliver the enterprise applications on-time, within budget and in accordance to the defined architectural vision and performance expectations
- Being proficient in analyzing highly complex issues and architectures and reducing them to practice.
- Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the globally disperse development teams.
- Being a self-motivated and a “self-starter”
- Being responsible to deliver high quality applications that meet the needs of the different verticals.
- Proactively identifying and reacting to changing technical and business requirements
What we look for
Required
Position: Lead Staff Engineer
Qualification: BE or equivalent
Job Location – Bangalore / Pune
Experience: 8 to 12 years relevant experience in below
- Ability to quickly understand the requirements and specifications
- Design test plans & test strategy documents and closely work with the development team to cover all aspects of the features being developed.
- E2E ownership from feature testing to production deployment to monitoring
- Strong expertise in programming languages like Python & exposure to shell scripting (Mandatory).
- Exposure to Networking concept backend testing, performance testing.
- Exposure to using AI tools for automation.
- Experience in testing and automation on Web Services platforms - RESTful, SOAP
- Must have knowledge on deployment using Docker, Kubernetes
- Must be proficient in using Azure DevOps/Jira, Git, Jenkins
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
