Lead Sports Analyst

Who we are looking for
We're building our first technology teams based in Denver, Colorado and are looking for talented technical experts to join our Sports Analysis team.
The Sports Analysis team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the mathematical models that underpin the trading tools at bet365 .These tools ingest and broadcast the most accurate, real-time sports fixture and trading-related data to both internal and external customers.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 annually.
Preferred skills and experience
Degree in a mathematical or computer science based discipline.
A keen interest in a wide range of sports and the online gambling industry.
Commercial experience in software development or mathematical modelling.
Commercial experience in a senior or lead role.
Delivery and results focused.
Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical areas.
Strong understanding of probability and statistics.
Experience with technologies such as C#, Visual Basic, RStudio, Go, SQL, Excel and Jira Issue Management.
Solid understanding of Windows and Office applications.
Ability to multi task and manage multiple streams of activity shifting focus regularly.
Able to think in a high pressure environment and react quickly to challenging situations.
Potential to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Main Responsibilities
Leading a capable, reactive and delivery focused team.
Gaining and maintaining a good understanding of the pricing algorithms and technical solutions that the team are responsible for.
Instilling quality as a default requirement throughout all aspects of the team and process.
Providing estimates and ensuring these can subsequently be delivered.
Planning, tracking and reporting on the progress of work.
Actively managing workloads and ensuring work flows through due process in a timely manner.
Understanding, identifying and mitigating any risks in delivery of work.
Acting as point of contact for other teams within the department and the business.
Assisting in the administration responsibilities of the team.
Mentoring members of the team, ensuring distribution of knowledge and being available to team members to assist with any issues they may have.
Providing input to analyst appraisals and other performance feedback.
