Position Summary
The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing Trinity's enterprise procurement and vendor management strategy. This role drives vendor consolidation and supplier rationalization across business functions, leads the competitive sourcing process for strategic spend categories, and owns the company's preferred vendor program including the contractor supply chain. Working in close partnership with Legal & Contract Operations and the Compliance team, this role serves as the commercial counterpart to Trinity's legal and risk governance framework.
Core Responsibilities
Sourcing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies across IT, Facilities, Professional Services, Marketing, and other indirect spend categories
- Lead RFP and competitive bid processes; evaluate proposals on total cost of ownership, capability, risk profile, and strategic fit
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service level agreements with vendors; route contract language and risk terms to Legal & Contract Operations
- Continuously rationalize and consolidate the vendor base, targeting reduction in redundant suppliers and improvement in pricing leverage through volume consolidation
Preferred Vendor & Contractor Supply Program
- Build and maintain a tiered preferred supplier list across all major spend categories
- Develop and manage a preferred contractor staffing supplier program with pre-negotiated MSA rate structures
- Conduct annual supplier review and performance assessments; manage supplier tier promotions and off-boarding
- Maintain preferred supplier agreements in coordination with Amanda’s Contract Operations.
Vendor Intake & Risk Integration
- Own the vendor intake process workflow from business unit request through approval
- Initiate Prevalent vendor risk assessments for all new vendors in coordination with Jinal Shah's Compliance team
- Ensure no vendor is approved for active engagement until commercial vetting (Procurement), legal review (Contracts), and risk scoring (Compliance) are complete
- Maintain the vendor master record in relevant systems (TBD)
Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain a spend analytics capability; provide quarterly reporting to GC and relevant business unit leaders on vendor spend, savings achieved, and supplier performance
- Develop KPIs for procurement function (savings rate, cycle time, preferred supplier utilization, vendor consolidation progress)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all business units on the contractor process and vendor selection, competitive sourcing, and commercial negotiations
- Partner with Finance on purchase order workflow, vendor payment terms, and accruals
- Partner with IT on software/SaaS vendor negotiations and renewal calendar
- Participate in Legal Operations team meetings; represent procurement perspective in Contract management governance
Qualifications
Required:
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Demonstrated experience developing category sourcing strategies and executing competitive RFP processes
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, and vendor service agreements
- Experience with vendor risk management frameworks and/or compliance-oriented procurement programs
- Proficiency with procurement or contract management technology (SharePoint, LinkSquares, Coupa, SAP Ariba, or equivalent)
- Highly data-driven — strong analytical skills and experience with spend analytics or dashboard reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred:
- Experience in a professional services, consulting, technology, or high-growth services company
- Familiarity with staffing/contractor supply chain management and contingent workforce programs
- Experience working in or alongside a Legal/GC function
- Knowledge of vendor risk assessment tools (Prevalent, OneTrust, or equivalent)
- CPM, CPSM, or equivalent professional certification
