Tasks and Responsibilities:
o Maintain a regular scheduled case load when not assisting Technical Supervisor.
o Assist in the technical training for new hires and existing staff, as needed
o Assist in the management of designated technical staff scheduling. Inclusive of regular schedules, on call schedules, holiday schedules, vacation schedules and other coverage issues
o Expected to trouble shoot minor equipment problems and advise or initiate a service call as needed
o Acts as a resource for other sonographers when clinical or technical issues arise.
o Responds to any issue(s) or complaint(s) arising from a facility, by being proactive in providing an immediate solution
o Acts as a backup for any STAT request if a field sonographer in his/her area is unable to respond or report to the ordering facility
o Escalates any issue(s) to the director of ultrasound as needed
o Participates as needed in the field orientation of new sonographer
o Required to perform other duties as needed
Skills and Experience:
o Must have and maintain ARDMS or CCI certification
o Must have and maintain valid a state issued Driver’s License
o Must have and maintain a good driving record
