1. Design & Delivery
- Develop end-to-end solution architectures for complex systems within the platform model.
- Ensure designs meet functional, security, and compliance requirements in line with Group architecture standards.
- Support delivery teams with planning, estimation, and proactive risk mitigation (e.g., technical debt, currency risks).
- Contribute to quarterly planning activities and technology roadmaps.
- Identify and recommend modernisation opportunities and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Platform Leads, Enterprise Architects, and Engineering teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor by translating technical concepts into business-aligned solutions for stakeholders.
- Participate in Architecture Review Committee (ARC) and Architecture Working Group (AWG).
- Maintain architectural documentation and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, API design, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Node.js.
- Deep understanding of architectural patterns including Microservices, CQRS, Event-Driven, and Domain-Driven Design.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as SAFe, TOGAF, and Agile delivery models.
- Ability to create detailed technical blueprints and evaluate multiple solution alternatives.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience in architecture or senior technical leadership roles.
- Preferred certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Azure Solutions Architect
- Equivalent cloud architecture certifications
Skills Required
