Overview

The Lead Solution Architect provides strategic technical leadership across key accounts, driving solution vision, architecture design, and delivery excellence. This role guides solution strategy, leads multi-disciplinary teams, and serves as the final authority for technical decisions, ensuring solutions meet customer needs, business objectives, and enterprise standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccount & Technology Strategy
  • Partner closely with Sales, Competency Heads, and senior stakeholders to define solution strategy and coverage plans for key accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s environment, pain points, and business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for technology enhancement within the customer’s current stack and work with SMEs to develop relevant and forward-looking solutions.
  • Own the development of long-term technology roadmaps for key accounts.
Solution Leadership & Architecture Governance
  • Serve as the overall technical lead and hold final accountability for solution architecture, design decisions, and associated risks.
  • Lead complex solutioning engagements, setting the direction and ensuring architectural coherence across components and systems.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of all bids, including bill of materials, scope definition, and proposal development.
  • Facilitate and lead solution design workshops to drive the team toward an optimal and aligned architecture.
  • Provide architecture governance by approving all technical documentation for the project lifecycle.
Project Delivery & Risk Management
  • Provide leadership across all technical workstreams, ensuring alignment between solution design, implementation, and integration.
  • Offer expert guidance on best-practice configuration, implementation considerations, and technical constraints.
  • Evaluate design impacts and make authoritative decisions when resolving delivery risks related to functionality, timelines, or dependencies.
  • Oversee integration across multiple systems and ensure end-to-end solution integrity and performance.
  • Support the Project Manager in stakeholder management and escalate critical risks or decisions when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business communication for senior stakeholders, customers, and non-technical audiences.
  • Build strong cross-team relationships and foster collaboration among SMEs, engineers, and delivery teams.
Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to elevate the organization’s solutioning capability and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CRTSA) required.
  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a solutioning or architecture-focused role; experience leading complex solution design engagements strongly preferred.
  • Broad technical knowledge across cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills, serving as the final escalation point for technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-scale solutions across multiple technology domains.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong business acumen with experience supporting sectors such as CII, FSI, or Commercial.
  • Ability to consider operational constraints, business requirements, and environmental factors in solution decisions.
  • Positive, collaborative mindset and a strong passion for information security.
