We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Lead Engineer to join our R&D department. In this role, you will act as a QA technical authority for an engineering group across multiple projects. You will drive the quality assurance strategy for several of our products. Your primary focus will be ensuring that our development teams deliver high-quality software through comprehensive testing methodologies, automation, and best practices. You will oversee the full spectrum of QA activities, from manual and automated tests to performance, production, and defect management. 

As a Lead, you will also play a pivotal role in developing test strategies, establishing quality standards, and mentoring others. Collaboration with product and engineering teams will be key as you align testing efforts with product timelines and ensure robust test coverage for new and existing features.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • QA Leadership: Lead and mentor QA engineers, fostering collaboration and quality culture. 
  • Test Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and execute test strategies and plans with a focus on optimizing test coverage, including automation, manual, performance, and production testing. 
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product and engineering to ensure alignment between testing efforts and product goals. Coordinate cross-group testing to ensure consistency across teams. 
  • Defect & Release Management: Oversee the defect management process, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution of issues. Lead release management, ensuring smooth transitions between development and production environments. Own the final go/no-go decision for product releases based on quality metrics and risk assessment. 
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, implementing new methodologies and best practices to ensure efficient and effective testing across teams. 
  • Hands-On Support: Assist with hands-on testing tasks as needed based on team priorities. 
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, defect reports, and key metrics. Present quality status, KPIs, and metrics to stakeholders. 
  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor, guide, and support QA engineers. Lead the hiring, onboarding, and professional development of new QA team members. 
  • Feature Analysis & Test Coverage: Deep dive into feature requirements and designs to identify potential quality gaps and ensure comprehensive test coverage for both new features and regression testing. 
  • Quality Standards: Establish and enforce QA standards and best practices, ensuring consistency across all teams. 
  • Release Management: Oversee the entire release process from planning to execution, including risk analysis, feature prioritization, and ensuring timely and high-quality product deliveries. 

Qualifications:

Experience: 

  • 7+ years in QA of web and mobile applications.
  • Proven experience with B2B applications and complex backend systems. 

Automation & Manual Testing:

  • Strong experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with QA automation tools and frameworks. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Familiar with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, HTTP). 
  • Familiar with Selenium and Appium.

Process Management:

  • Demonstrated success in implementing QA processes, defect management, and release management within an Agile/Scrum framework. 

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, with a strong ability to present quality metrics and provide feedback on product design. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Automation Tools: Experience working with Low/No-code automation tools (like Testim).
  • Industry Expertise: Experience working in a global company within the test automation domain. 
  • Tech Stack Knowledge: Experience with analytics systems, automated alerts, or BI tools. 
  • Automation Frameworks: Experience designing and writing automation tests for both web and mobile applications.
