We are looking for a Lead Software Quality Engineer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will lead a team of test automation engineers, design and implement robust automation frameworks, and drive the adoption of best practices in test automation

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Lead the team of test automation engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Supervise and mentor test engineers, become a go-to person for the product
  • Work with product owners to understand requirement and breakdown user-stories for better estimation and delivery
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and other relevant tools
  • Design test data strategies to ensure adequate coverage of test scenarios
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test cases
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement automation solutions that enhance test coverage and efficiency
  • Define and implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure product quality
  • Collaborate with performance engineers to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance
  • Develop and execute performance test scripts using appropriate tools
  • Work effectively within an Agile development methodology.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments is a plus.
  • Perform Code Reviews and Design Reviews

THE SKILL SET

  • 10+ years of experience in automated software testing
  • Tech-lead who has consistently demonstrated the capability to develop high level technical design.
  • Strong proficiency in Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin syntax
  • Strong experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript or C#
  • Experience with API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
  • Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP).
  • Good experience of working with MySQL, MongoDB
  • Good understanding of SQL query language.
  • Good experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with containers is a bonus (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Ability to understand new problem/business domains.
  • Good working exposure to agile development methodologies and scrum process would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
