  • The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing the Archer platform to support enterprise risk and compliance programs.
  • This role translates complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable, high-performing technical solutions that enhance risk visibility, streamline processes, and strengthen audit and compliance readiness.
  • This position serves as a senior individual contributor, partnering closely with Enterprise Risk Solutions (ERS) and business stakeholders to deliver sustainable, high-impact GRC solutions.

Impact

The Archer team translates complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable, high-performing technical solutions that enhance risk visibility, streamline processes, and strengthen audit and compliance readiness, partnering closely with Enterprise Risk Solutions (ERS) and business stakeholders to deliver sustainable, high-impact GRC solutions.

Key Deliverables

Platform Design & Configuration

  • Design and implement scalable Archer applications, workflows, integrations, data imports, and reports
  • Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions
  • Ensure consistency, performance, and adherence to platform governance and best practices

Delivery & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage and deliver configuration work within release cycles and prioritized workstreams
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure solutions meet defined requirements
  • Maintain and enhance existing modules, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, and technical solutions

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with ERS and business stakeholders to review requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams to align priorities and outcomes
  • Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
  • Facilitate configuration demonstrations with ERS and business stakeholders to confirm solutions meet defined requirements and expectations
  • Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure timely resolution of defects
     

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support Archer platform governance, ensuring consistency across applications and configurations
  • Stay current with Archer updates, features, and industry best practices
  • Continuously improving system performance, usability, and reporting capabilities
  • Adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic enterprise risk environment

  • 8–10 years of hands-on RSA Archer configuration experience
  • Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industries

  • Experience with Archer workflows, dashboards, reports, data imports, and integrations
  • Knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and risk management processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (data analysis) and Visio or similar tools (workflow/process modeling)
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate data to support system configuration and reporting

       Preferred Skills:

  • Archer Certified Administrator (or equivalent certification)
  • Experience with multiple Archer use cases (e.g., IT Risk, Operational Risk, Third-Party Risk, Compliance, Audit)
  • Experience with Archer integrations, APIs, or data feeds
  • Exposure to large-scale Archer or GRC platform implementations
  • Experience working within Agile or structured SDLC environments
