The Purpose of This Role:
Workplace Investing Quality Engineering (WI QE) is actively seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Test to work on Security Services product. The aspirant is an expert in crafting, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to ensure product quality and release readiness. We seek an individual capable of bringing a software engineering attitude to our testing practices.
As a Lead Software Engineer in Test within the Workplace Investing Quality Engineering Group, you will be encouraged to work closely with application owners, developers and business sponsors to review requirements, build automation frameworks and execute solutions in an Agile environment.

- Developing and implementing a scalable, efficient, and maintainable automation platform
Leads test script reviews and mentors QA / Squad members on tool and technologies
Actively participating in development and dev ops task in addition to testing
Leading the squad with testing, deployment, and integration best practices
Creating an efficient and effective continuous integration and delivery pipeline
The Skills that are key to this Role and Expertise we are looking for
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
7+ years of professional Testing/Development experience involving API, UI Automation/Testing using Java/Javascript
Fully hands on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, uDeploy, Artifactory etc.
Hands-on experience with creating and using Virtual / Mock assets
Work as part of team of SDET’s focused on automation and build reusable artifacts
Demonstrated highly proficient development skillset within the following:
Selenium/Karate/ RestAssured/Cucumber
Java/JavaScript
JenkinsCore
Web and service-based automation
Strong demonstrated experience in delivering software solutions in an Agile environment
Experience with databases
Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption
Own the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
Writing source code, adopting existing components, and testing developed components
Ensuring designs meet performance, security, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements
Experience in Security Services, Authentication, Authorization areas is a PLUS

The Workplace Security Services team is part of the Workplace Customer Protection Center of Excellence and supports protecting thousands of employers and millions of participants. The team develops client-facing cybersecurity applications that help us win and retain institutional clients, as well as Authorization, B2B Security and Single Sign-On infrastructure software components that are the backbone for many of Fidelity’s web business applications including NetBenefits and PlanSponsor WebStation.
