Job Summary

Cadence’s Electrically Aware Design (EAD) flow provides incremental in-design analysis that includes parasitic extraction, electromigration (EM), and IR drop analysis. Looking for an individual with strong C++, data structures and EDA experience to join the Virtuoso EAD R&D team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement software modules in C++ for parasitic extraction and EM/IR analysis.

• Analyze layout cross-sections and develop algorithms.

• Collaborate with global R&D, PE, and AE teams to define and deliver robust solutions.

• Ensure high code quality through testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical/Electronics or related fields.

• 4+ years of experience in software development, preferably in EDA or circuit design domains.

• Strong programming skills in C++ and data structures; experience with Qt is a plus.

• Understanding of electronic circuits, parasitic effects, and EM/IR characteristics.

• Familiarity with layout analysis and simulation flows is desirable.
