Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Secure Network Services Organization as part of our Automation Innovation Team.
The role will provide technical direction and document target state associated with developing the right Network Automation solutions across all Network Systems.
Lead resolutions of complex challenges, developing strategic engineering solutions and maintaining knowledge of innovations.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and developing solutions that promote reusability, scalability, efficiency and resiliency and possess strong communication skills to articulate the proposed solutions with both technical and business partners
Assist on mitigating risk for the enterprise by proactively addressing capacity problems or system related issues under guidance of Network Services Management, as well as Wells Fargo enterprise standards and policies. Assist teams in technical problem resolution.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the review, resolution and implementation for the most complex technical issues and initiatives related to Automation of large scale network applications, data systems, voice and other technical products and services
- Develop diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems
- Utilizing Ansible orchestration and Python scripting to simplify high volume and/or high-risk tasks for business partners
- Knowledge and experience working with Nautobot, Django, JSON, Nornir, Napalm and Netmiko to build modern Automation solutions
- Knowledge and experience working with RESTful API
- Evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard procedures, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported
- Research performance trends and recommend process improvements
- Perform complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and configurations
- Make decisions in security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions
- Assess changes for risk to production systems and assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas
- Identify gaps in current technology processes and recommend changes to assure Service Level Agreements can be supported
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 5+ years of Software Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Ansible, Python, YAML, Java, or PL-SQL
- 5+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API)
- 5+ years of experience with Linux OS environment
- 2-5+ years of experience with source version control using GitHub or similar
- Experience with creating and or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams
- Agile methodology experience
- Knowledge/Skills/Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment
- BS/BA degree or higher in information technology or equivalent work experience accepted
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skill
- Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
- Ability to manage initiatives including detailed planning, process management, and documentation
- Experience in process Improvement (6 Sigma), solution implementation, and change management
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
