WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A Lead Software Engineer who can drive the technical aspects of software engineering squad(s) to design, develop and deliver high quality software solutions that solve specific business problems and grow Nike’s businesses. Equipped with excellent leadership and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing teams, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, always striving for technical excellence.
In this role, you will gain a deep understanding of Nike’s technology landscape and business perspectives. You will be responsible for partnering with global teams to augment existing and implement new products and capabilities through the development cycle. In this role, it is critical to partnering with product management, architecture, business stakeholders and other engineering teams.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Software Engineering Lead within the Finance & Procurement Technology (FPT) organization, you will help deliver the future of Nike’s solutions! Nike operates in over 50 countries around the world and has ambitious growth plans. This growth necessitates applications and platforms to automate processes and streamline our finance operations activities as we grow our business.
You will work very closely with business partners and technology colleagues in the Finance & Procurement domain. You will participate in and support technology requirements gathering delivering solutions to meet business needs.
You will be expected to configure and work with Business Process Automation solutions.
In this role you will report to the Software Engineering Manager in Nike’s Poland Technology Center (PTC) in Gdansk.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Expertise with business process management (BPM) & workflow automations (Outsystems low-code platform and Robotic Process Automation)
- Oustsystems certifications in architecture and as a developer is a pre
- Or you have experience/certifications in similar solutions like Mendix, Pega, SAP BTP, Microsoft Power Platform
- Ability to design, develop, and debug applications
- Knowledge of extending applications with custom code (SQL server, C#), integrations and API’s e.g. with SAP
- Experience with managing the application lifecycle, continues integrations and deployments (Azure), DevOPS best practices and monitoring (Azure)
- Understanding of best practices for scalability, performance tuning and security
- Knowledge of Scrum and agile principles and tools (JIRA), with excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
- Knowledge of Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Automate is a pre
