The Technology Department at Dimensional leverages the rapidly evolving state of the art to engineer scalable, innovative, and research driven solutions to improve our client’s financial lives.
JOB PURPOSE
The lead engineer for marketing and sales is a hands-on builder who is responsible for guiding the technology direction of our marketing and sales platforms in service of Dimensional’s clients. This engineer will be responsible for technology decisions across the marketing and sales stack which includes a mix of marketing analytics platforms, architect and design a MarTech stack, configure and setup SaaS marketing platforms. They will evaluate existing architectures, platforms and tech and lay out a future state platform and guide the execution of building that system.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for engineering guidance, technology architecture and will guide solution architecture for the marketing technology team. They will primarily lead the data warehouse and analytics solution for marketing.

In addition, a secondary focus will be looking at integration across the entire marketing technology stack (Marketing Automation, Web, CMS, AdTech)

Designs and implements initial platform code that will be leveraged by engineering teams.

Drives engineering best practices and defines/enforces software quality standards.

Ensures platforms are designed to meet security, performance, and reliability requirements.

Provides technical leadership to teams of engineers. They will review code, define code review standards, and assist all engineers in the organization to adhere to the SDLC best practices.

Works with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level solution intent.

Proactively stays on top of industry latest trends and identifies strategic technology opportunities for the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications in Snowflake.
-
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud data warehousing solutions and 2+ years specifically with Snowflake.
-
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with data modeling, and performance tuning.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, with a solid understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
-
At least 2 years of experience using DBT for data transformation and building data pipelines using SQL and YAML.

5+ years of experience as an architect or principal engineer

Experience working in an agile environment with CI/CD practices and DevOps Principles
-
Expert in software engineering and SDLC best practices, including SOLID principles.

Extensive experience with both dynamic and static programming languages
-
Experience building large-scale systems that meet/exceed industry standards for security, performance, and reliability.

Deep knowledge/expertise in a key domain required for an application/platform (e.g., omni-channel digital platforms, Personalization using marketing analytics, A/B tests, Marketing automation email campaigns, etc.).

Experience building strategy and implementing Customer journeys in Marketing SaaS platforms like Microsoft’s Customer Insights and Journeys or Marketo.

Experience in data architecture leading to Customer 360 views or funnel reporting downstream.

Industry-recognized certifications such as Snowflake certifications, Power BI certifications, etc.

Experience managing large, complex software implementations and systems integrations in hybrid environments

Experience transitioning solutions from on-prem to the public cloud

Experience leveraging AWS and Azure cloud services to solve business problems

Experience with one or more of the following: Enterprise warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Azure), Enterprise content management (Sitecore/AEM), Marketing Automation (Marketo/HubSpot/Customer Insights & Journeys), Web Analytics (GA/Adobe)
