The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-oriented individual to join our team as Lead Software Engineer for our Managed Accounts team. In this role, you will assume leadership of an Agile squad, collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive timely delivery of projects. Your responsibilities will encompass end-to-end ownership of components, with a focus on maintaining quality, stability, and driving technical enhancements. You will form strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and success. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn and adapt to emerging technologies, as we strive to innovate and refine our business.
This is a hybrid position with 3 days required in-office, based in Chicago or Toronto.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Scrum development team in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Marketing) to ensure timely delivery of new features.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
  • Mentor engineers to enhance and uphold code standards.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for production support every two months.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages and its ecosystem: C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of fundamental software concepts including Design Patterns, HTTP(S), RESTful API, SSO, security, unit testing, modern browser features, and SQL scripts.
  • Possesses Agile and project management skills to contribute effectively to team workflows.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.


Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native applications and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and automated software delivery processes.
  • Generative AI experience is a big bonus.
