Overview
Be part of the AI & Decision Product Enablement team, which creates services for multiple business solutions to combat fraud and validate cardholder identity in real-time. Our patented platform processes billions of transactions per month, in milliseconds, using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability. Additionally, web applications and web services for managing fraud solutions round out the critical platform capabilities.
Role
An AIDPE Lead Developer will be responsible for producing fraud management technology solutions. This position will provide technical expertise for fraud prediction applications, which include mission critical, high volume transaction processing systems, web applications for managing fraud solutions and fraud events, web services for exposing capabilities to external customers, and vendor applications for fraud scoring and business rules management. Responsibilities will include executing on Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) for new business opportunities, completing detailed design and development, supporting implementations, functional testing, and technical testing. Knowledge of and effective integration with MasterCard's core processing technologies, including the authorization network, data structures and messaging architectures, will be needed on most efforts. This role will work closely with Risk Systems architects, developers, analysts, and project managers as well as business partners and other MasterCard technology teams. A successful candidate will deliver cost effective technology solutions which align to standards, achieve business requirements, and are easy to maintain and operate.

Qualifications:• Ability to innovate and develop new approaches to complex problems• Prior software development experience, particularly using Java and the Test Driven Development (TDD) methodology• Familiarity with integrating vendor and open source products into an overall system• Familiarity with a variety of architectural patterns including multi-tiered web applications and high performance, high availability transaction processing systems• Experience producing detailed design and estimating work deliverables• Previous experience developing and supporting a high performance, transaction processing system• Familiarity with Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)• A wide breadth and depth of technical experience including:
o Core Java including multi-threading
o J2EE Web Application/Web Services with JBoss & WebSphere
o Hibernate & Spring
o Oracle & PL/SQL
o Solaris/UNIX & Red Hat Linux
o Messaging - MQ and JMS
• Other preferred technical experience:
o WebSphere Operational Decision Manager (formerly ILOG JRules)
o Eclipse-based IDE such as JBoss Developer Studio
o Web Services - REST/XML/ WSDL/SOAP
o Production operational support• Excellent verbal and written communication • Self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction• Ability to multi task and meet deadlines• Ability to communicate technical viewpoints and build consensus around ideas
