Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to help drive the development and modernization of our Enterprise Messaging Hub. This role will provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure solutions that support messaging and alerting capabilities across Digital Banking.Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot and REST APIs
- Lead the design and implementation of Spring Boot microservices running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support automated testing, deployment, and release management
- Define and implement API and integration strategies across enterprise platforms.
- Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance on complex engineering decisions
- Partner with architects and stakeholders to provide technical assessments of requirements and business requests
- Design and implement real-time alerting solutions leveraging a variety of enterprise event sources including Mainframe, MQ, databases, and APIs.
- Define and drive application architecture, technology standards, and modernization strategies
- Lead root cause analysis, incident resolution, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure platform reliability and resiliency.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence, resiliency, code quality, and operational best practices.
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ systems analysis and/or application development work experience or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' systems analysis and/or application development work experience. In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 year’s education and/or relevant work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ system analysis and/or application development work experience.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Oracle SQL or other RDBMS experience
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting critical production systems
- Linux command line experience.
- CI/CD pipeline implementation experience.
- Strong understanding of Git
- Experience implementing secure coding practices and addressing application vulnerabilities
- Spring Cloud experience.
- Digital Banking or Financial Services experience.
- Experience with Dynatrace or other enterprise monitoring tools
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure, or other cloud-native container platforms.
- Kafka, MQ or other enterprise messaging platform experience
