About the Team:

The API Enablement team is community of dedicated professionals committed to designing, building, and maintaining API platform solutions for the organization.

Impact

This role functions within the banks federated governance model, the analyst collaborates across business units, technology teams, and risk functions to establish, enforce, and continuously improve API governance standards, TUGs, and controls. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of financial service compliance with strong analytical and engineering skills to provide data driven insights and automated governance solutions.

Key Deliverables

  • Support the delivery lifecycle of Enterprise API governance standards, TUGs, and Governance Frameworks that align with FFIEC Examination Handbook, NIS cybersecurity frameworks (CFS, SP 800-53, SP 800-63).
  • Conduct API Compliance assessments, API Security reviews, and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal technical user guidelines.
  • Monitor the API Inventory Landscape for misconfigurations, and non-compliant API implementations, and report finding to drive remediation
  • Develop and maintain governance scorecard, risk registers, and compliance dashboards using Power BI for visualizations to leadership and audit functions.

Technical/Business Skills:

  • 8+ years of API Governance and driving enterprise-wide oversight security compliance and quality assurance of APIs across the bank.
  • Proficient with Power BI and Building visualization metric driven Dashboards.
  • Proficient with Python for scripting, data analysis, and automation experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and others.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining ETL processes (informatica, airflow or other)
  • Deep understanding of Restful API Design, OpenAPI /Swagger specification, and API gateway platforms (e.g. Layer 7, MuleSoft, Apigee, AWS API Gateway.
  • Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID connect, JWT, mTLS, and API key management.
  • Familiarity with CICD pipelines Gitlab, Linter rules, integrating governance security checks into software delivery.
