As a Lead Software Engineer (PostgreSQL Specialist), you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade database systems with a strong focus on PostgreSQL performance, scalability, and data integrity.
You will play a key role in database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization, while also contributing to backend services and integrations using.NET, APIs, or front-end technologies.
This role combines deep database expertise with technical leadership, mentoring teams, driving best practices, and ensuring high-performance application delivery

Responsibilities

  • Lead PostgreSQL development, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Perform query optimization, execution plan analysis, and database performance tuning
  • Design database architecture (indexing, partitioning, data modeling) and manage DB configurations
  • Handle large-scale data operations, migrations, and ensure data integrity & high availability
  • Contribute to backend development using .NET, APIs, and support microservices architecture
  • Troubleshoot production issues (slow queries, deadlocks, performance bottlenecks)
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and provide hands-on support
  • Lead technical decisions, mentor team members, and conduct code/design reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive high-quality solution delivery

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • 4–6+ years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL development
