As a Lead Software Engineer - UX/React at JPMorganChase within Finance Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using ReactJS and Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams.
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Creates secure and high-quality production ready UI using React.
- Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas.
- Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain.
- Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Gain experience in application development, with a focus on creating efficient and user-friendly software.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability.
- Advanced skills in designing and developing responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using React, Python, and CSS, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Able to design wireframes and understanding of Salt-Design System.
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux)
- Implement and maintain reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring consistency and efficiency in UI development.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Experience using testing frameworks e.g Playwright
- Experience in building reusable components and implementing server-side rendering
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience and certification in AWS and/or Databricks.
- Proven experience in building and designing large-scale global software solutions.
- Experience in Data Engineering, working with big data, data warehouses, and understanding data modelling; Data Mesh Architecture and building applications using Data Mesh Architecture.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as MWAA.
