Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Lead Software Engineer/Scrum Master to join our team! In this role, you will guide the Systems Integration team in delivering high-velocity, high-quality integration outcomes, and champion Agile/Scrum practices in a complex, mission-critical environment where software-hardware integration, DevSecOps pipelines, autonomy algorithms, and classified development converge.
What You'll Be Doing:
Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement) with a focus on systems integration milestones, interface control, and end-to-end testing
Coach the Systems Integration team and cross-functional stakeholders (software, hardware, autonomy, test, and security teams) on Agile principles, Scrum values, and lean practices tailored to DevSecOps and MLOps environments
Act as a servant leader to remove impediments, manage dependencies across modular architectures, and shield the team from external disruptions so they can focus on integration, verification, and validation activities
Partner closely with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog that reflects program priorities, technical debt, integration risks, and USSOCOM capability needs
Drive transparency through visual management tools (Jira, Confluence, Kanban boards) and metrics (velocity, burndown, defect trends, pipeline health) while maintaining a regular program-level reporting cadence
Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and the adoption of engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipeline optimization, and MOSA compliance
Support scaled Agile efforts (if applicable) by coordinating with other Scrum teams, integration labs, and external partners to ensure synchronized delivery of autonomy capabilities
Foster a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and innovation within a high-tempo, occasionally classified development environment
Champion DevSecOps and MLOps principles to accelerate the secure integration of AI/ML models into unmanned platforms
Ensure compliance with DoD, USSOCOM, and program security requirements while maintaining Agile velocity
Required Clearance:
