When open-source or off-the-shelf development tools don't meet the unique needs of our engineering domains, we will call on you to rapidly create and scale high-quality, custom solutions. As a Lead Software Engineer joining a new productivity tools team, you'll be responsible for improving existing tools, collaborating on a roadmap of new tools, training users, and shaping team culture. In 6-12 months, you'll be exceeding the expectations of internal customers and improving their productivity by 2-10x.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive R&D quality and productivity through innovative, custom software tools.
- Lead the full application lifecycle of those tools with documented artifacts.
- Strategize automated test, release readiness, and post-release support.
- Define, adopt, and continuously improve development processes.
- Mentor software engineers, associate engineers, and interns.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Six years of full-stack development experience
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Enterprise systems and data pipelines
- AI assistants, such as GitHub Copilot
- CI/CD automation tools, like Jenkins
- Windows development frameworks
- Python or other scripting languages
- Database design and administration
- Open-source software development

Lead Software Engineer - $115, 290 - 170,349
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
