Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Enterprise Application Development (.NET + Oracle)
- Architect, design, and develop enterprise-grade backend applications using .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Python.
- Develop secure RESTful APIs and microservices integrated with Oracle databases.
- Lead backend engineering efforts ensuring clean architecture principles, SOLID design, and secure coding standards.
- Support security integration between .NET applications and Oracle-based enterprise systems.
- Lead the design and implementation of SSO/SSA integrations across enterprise platforms.
- Build and maintain IAM solutions including:
- User provisioning and de-provisioning
- Identity synchronization
- Entitlement and role management
- Authentication and authorization frameworks
- Design secure token-based authentication systems (OAuth/JWT/SAML integrations).
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards.
- Implement secure API gateways and identity federation solutions.
- Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement scalable microservices using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and container-based deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Ansible Automation Platform.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure DevOps practices.
- Ensure zero-defect releases through rigorous code reviews and quality gates.
- Provide L3 production support and perform detailed root cause analysis for critical incidents.
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance metrics.
- Act as SME for backend services supporting Business Intelligence platforms.
- Operate within Agile/Kanban frameworks.
- Manage user stories, technical backlogs, and Kanban boards.
- Provide regular technical and delivery updates to leadership.
- Mentor junior developers and provide architectural guidance.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, infrastructure, DevOps, and business teams.
- Strong expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, MVC)
- Strong experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, query optimization, indexing strategies
- Experience building high-performance, transaction-heavy enterprise systems
- Microservices architecture and API-driven development
- Secure coding practices and backend design patterns
- Deep knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Hands-on experience with:
- SSO / SSA solutions
- Authentication & authorization frameworks
- Secure enterprise integrations
- Experience implementing secure token-based authentication mechanisms
- Cloud-native engineering on Microsoft Azure
- Automation using Ansible Automation Platform
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
- Logging, monitoring, and observability practices
- Proven ability to lead backend and application engineering initiatives
- Strong ownership of system stability and release quality
- Experience mentoring and guiding development teams
- Strong stakeholder communication and executive reporting skills
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong focus on compliance, governance, and engineering excellence
