Main responsibilities:

  • Technical and people leadership and guidance for engineering and agile teams
  • Developing high performance, highly available & scalable applications with a micro-services architecture and an understanding of observability
  • Add to our existing services or roll out new services to support the needs.
  • Participate in defining new product requirements and design together with the product team.
  • Built the team from the ground up, in collaboration with the other Accelerators. Create a space that people love to work in.
  • Be a driving part of the M&S Accelerator leadership team
  • You build it, you run it.
  • You’re not expected to write code, but be very close to it and be able to provide guidance to the teams

About you:

Experience:

  • Experience leading a group of software engineers of at least 20, evaluating performance, and providing objective and actionable feedback
  • Experience in scaling systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
  • Practice in performing sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
  • Experience working with both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional, interdisciplinary environment
  • Experience in the healthcare, manufacturing or supply industries is a plus

  • Must be a passionate communicator, willing to challenge and enhance ideas while preserving relationships
  • Personal ownership and tenacious approach to finding and fixing the root cause of issues
  • You never stop learning.

Technical skills:

We have a diverse stack and if you are willing to work with a microservices approach, we are open-minded about your technology preferences. You’ll have the ability to explore new technologies and strategies.

Some of the key tech we use:

  • Backends: GraphQL, Node.js
  • We use key components of the AWS stack: Lambda, S3, RDS, SNS and more of the core services with a high focus on serverless.
  • Frontends: React.js
  • You don’t have to be a specialist in everything but willing to learn

Education:

  • MS in software engineering or computer science or equivalent
