Overview
At Mastercard Cyber & Intelligence Solutions, we lead the industry in providing artificial intelligence for mission critical decision making. Our world-class software operates at scale to detect and inform in real-time, across tens of thousands of events per second. We are looking for a talented and passionate Manager of Software Engineering to join our team in our Vancouver office.

Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team of talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for people management, technical oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful execution of product and technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers through coaching, 1:1s, and career development planning.• Collaborate with product management, architecture, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions.• Oversee agile development processes, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high code quality and performance.• Ensure engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and secure coding standards.• Drive technical excellence and innovation through proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.• Partner with recruiting to attract and retain top engineering talent.• Foster a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and operational excellence.• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.• Strong software engineering experience, including a people management role.• Proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.• Strong technical background in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python).• Experience with the full software development life-cycle, with a proven track record delivering scalable enterprise solutions serving at least millions of requests per day.• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.• Passion for mentoring, empowering others, and delivering customer value.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in fintech industries.• Knowledge of information security principles and practices.• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.• Familiarity with DevOps practices and modern observability tools.• Previous experience working with international or cross-functional teams.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in Canada, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive pay based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
Pay Ranges
Vancouver, Canada: $127,000 - $203,000 CAD
