Push the limits of what's possible with us as a Java Fullstack Lead (Vice President), specializing in React, Java, and cloud technologies, within our Software Engineering team.
As a Fullstack Lead at JPMorganChase within the Global Technology team, you will take ownership of greenfield projects, architecting and building robust, scalable, and distributed systems from the ground up. You will leverage your advanced React expertise to create modern, high-performance user interfaces, design and implement resilient backend solutions in Java, and utilize cloud technologies to deliver secure, scalable platforms. As a technical leader and individual contributor, you will drive end-to-end delivery, mentor engineers, and set best practices for the team.
Job responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of greenfield projects, leading the design, implementation, and delivery of end-to-end solutions.
- Architect and develop modern, scalable user interfaces using React, ensuring best-in-class user experience and performance.
- Design and build resilient backend services in Java, integrating seamlessly with front-end components.
- Leverage cloud technologies to architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and distributed systems.
- Serve as a hands-on individual contributor and technical lead, setting standards for code quality and system architecture.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering growth and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Produce and review architecture and design artifacts, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Promote a culture of innovation, diversity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience in fullstack development, with expert-level proficiency in React for building modern, scalable user interfaces.
- Proven experience leading greenfield projects and delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Strong backend development skills in Java, with experience in distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying solutions using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to take technical ownership, from design through implementation and delivery.
- Experience as an individual contributor and technical mentor.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
- Strong coding, debugging, and maintenance skills in large-scale environments.
- Ability to produce architecture and design documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skill

- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with additional modern front-end frameworks and tools.
