As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management division, you will be a vital member of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a key technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across various technical domains within different business functions, supporting the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops innovative software solutions, designs, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond conventional approaches to create solutions or resolve technical challenges.
- Produces secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to enhance the overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented assessments of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for integration within existing systems and information architecture.
- Champions communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and cutting-edge technologies.
- Contributes to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Proven proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc.).
- Extensive experience as a Java Fullstack developer with Spring Boot-based microservices, AWS, Database Technologies, and ReactJS.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Expertise in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Postgres, and Kubernetes.
