As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Bank Technology Payment team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. In this role you will drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance to the team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
- Sets overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
- Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members, prioritizing diverse representation.
- Works at the code level and manage technologists.
- Utilizes automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Applies advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Leverages in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Proficiently manage all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and Microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with caching solutions.
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience in UNIX and scripting languages (Shell, Perl).
- Cloud Development Experience.
