About the Role:
This role is within the Mobile Team, responsible for building next-generation mobile apps for premium Dow Jones brands. As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you will focus on building and ensuring the delivery of high-quality iOS applications and services to our business. You will continuously strive to enhance the release and development processes, ensuring that our products are reliable and meet high standards. In this role, you will champion aspects of product scalability, usability, reliability, functionality, and performance. You will scale your impact by effectively delegating tasks and ensuring they are completed as specified. Additionally, you will be proactive in identifying and removing roadblocks for your team, facilitating smooth and efficient project execution.
You Will:
● Apply agile software development practices and define application architecture models and programming standards.
● Design and implement processes for development, testing, monitoring, and change management while setting application development standards. ● Collaborate with product teams to manage technical scope and deliverables, identify strategic technical debt, and provide cost/benefit analysis and prioritization recommendations.
You Have:
● Four years of Android native Mobile development experience.
● Strong hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
● Familiar with data structure, system design, design patterns, API designs, MVP or MVVM, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps.
● Full stack background is a huge plus. Familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc is a plus.
● A passion for news and creativity to introduce new ideas and technologies. If you have a background in journalism, even better!
