This role reports to the Engineering Manager within the Supply Chain Planning & Technology organization. You will work closely with business users, engineering teams, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure O9-based Integrated Business Planning solutions—covering Assortment Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, and Deployment—are designed and implemented to meet operational needs and align with industry best practices.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are seeking a passionate individual who enjoys solving complex business problems across demand and supply planning. The role requires strong experience delivering Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions end-to-end, ideally using o9, with hands-on configuration and implementation across the full lifecycle.
As a Lead Software Engineer you will translate business needs into scalable technical designs, lead solution architecture decisions, and drive high-quality delivery in partnership with product and cross-functional teams. Success in this position depends on deep technical leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to guide teams through ambiguity.
You will also mentor engineers, elevate engineering standards, and help build long-term capability within the planning technology organization.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in architecture, design, and development across IBP domains
Proven expertise in O9 Assortment, Demand or Supply (mandatory). Exposure and hands on working on other planning application like SAP IBP, Kinaxis etc is plus
Strong understanding of planning algorithms, forecasting models, solvers, and data domains
Understanding of ML based forecasting models and implementing workflows for best models.
Exposure to solvers like Gurobi or other open source packages for meeting custom requirements.
Experience in working on AI based development environment like cursor, co-pilot or Nova
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, data analysis, and scalable cloud-based engineering.
Engineering fundamentals: Java/Python, databases, Git/SVN
Experience with DevOps/CI-CD (Jenkins preferred)
Strong Agile/Scrum experience and excellent communication skills
Lead a team of at least 3-4 people and passion for mentoring and developing engineering capability.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will work across problems in depth and which span across modules like MFP ( Merchandise Financial Planning ), Assortment Planning, Demand and Supply planning / integrations. Enhance and support multi-tenant, multi Geo, highly integrated solution with impacts across downstream supply chain. Some of the activities that you will be involved in but not limited to –
Build and enhance MFP, assortment planning capabilities and integrate outputs with downstream planning modules.
Design and optimize forecasting models in O9, enabling statistical, ML-based, and causal forecasting
Supply planning solutions including constraint-based planning, capacity logic, and ERP integrations.
Implement inventory optimization including safety stock modeling, segmentation strategies, and MEIO planning.
Build deployment, allocation, and replenishment logic across multi-node distribution networks.
Cross-Functional Engineering Responsibilities include:
Lead design → build → test → deploy cycles
Develop scalable cloud solutions and review code for performance
Drive O9–enterprise integrations and data flows
Champion DevOps, automation, and CI/CD
Support backlog refinement, Agile delivery, and engineer mentoring
Skills Required
- 10+ years of experience in architecture, design, and development across IBP domains
