As a Lead Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementation of Cepheid next generation software products.
This position is part of the R&D Department and will be located in Bangalore, IDC, India . Our vision is to continuously drive innovation and efficiency in our development processes, leveraging the latest in software and hardware technologies to meet the needs of our global customers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Design, implement and maintain molecular diagnostics application software using Java, Angular and associated development frameworks
- Evaluate and document technical feasibility of product features, including detailed design reviews and design documentation
- Develop and maintain automated unit, component and system‑level test suites to support end‑to‑end software quality
- Execute Agile lean software development processes to deliver software features and project milestones, including cross‑functional integration with firmware, hardware, technical support and software quality teams
- Adopt and apply new development tools, technologies and methodologies to support scalable software implementation and assigned engineering tasks
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 6+ years of full stack development experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of hands‑on development using Java for back‑end applications
- Front‑end development experience using Angular 2+ for web application interfaces
- Expertise in Object‑Oriented Design and implementation using established design patterns
- Proven experience developing full stack applications using Java, Angular 2+, and OOD principles
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- As an AWS certified developer
- A background in leveraging AI to improve operational performance.
- Experience working with distributed teams in a global setting.
