Job Summary:
As a Lead Software Engineer in Asset Management Trading Technology, you will help transform trading from an art into a science. You will build and maintain industry-leading platforms that manage orders and execute trades across diverse asset classes. Working closely with Traders, you will automate and optimize the trading lifecycle. You will be part of a Site Reliability Engineering team that values technical growth, rapid deployment, and creative problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable and observable trading systems
- Collaborate directly with Traders to deliver impactful solutions
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to enhance system performance
- Develop and support core Java applications for trading platforms
- Implement next-generation messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Monitor and improve system observability using tools like Grafana
- Drive continuous improvement and fast, iterative delivery
- Deploy code to production daily
- Encourage and contribute creative ideas for technology advancement
- Ensure end-to-end quality and elegance in all solutions
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end software systems
- Strong knowledge of core Java
- Familiarity with messaging and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka)
- Understanding of modern software architecture
- Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering principles
- Commitment to building reliable and scalable systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Focus on observability and real-time monitoring
- Dedication to continuous improvement and rapid delivery
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience with Grafana or similar monitoring tools
