We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer / Azure Solution Architect / Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in improving our cloud infrastructure for the LSEG Analytics Application Platform we are building. You will be responsible for crafting and implementing scalable, secure, and robust solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Your focus will be to understand the project requirements, translate them into effective cloud-based solutions and implement the Cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with developers, engineers, and product managers to ensure the delivery of Azure-based solutions. You will also develop core services supporting our LSEG Analytics Excel web add-in.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with project collaborators to understand requirements and business objectives. Design end-to-ends Azure-based solutions that align with standard processes and meet scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency goals.
  • Azure Platform Expertise: Possess an in-depth understanding of Azure services and their capabilities, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security. Leverage this knowledge to select the Azure services that best fit the project requirements.
  • Cloud Architecture: Develop cloud architecture blueprints and documentation, including designs, solution diagrams, and implementation guidelines.
  • Development: Develop core services supporting our Analytics Excel web add-in.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Offer technical mentoring and ensure that development processes align with Azure standard methodologies.
  • Cloud Security: Implement robust security measures to safeguard cloud-based applications and data.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and define optimization strategies to improve the efficiency and responsiveness of Azure solutions.
  • Cost Management: Optimize Azure resource utilization and control costs by recommending efficient solutions, using reserved instances, and implementing auto-scaling where appropriate.
  • DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and enhance application monitoring and logging capabilities.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

  • Shown experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on Microsoft Azure services.
  • Proven experience with Azure Services: Microsoft Azure services for storage, containers and container orchestrators, serve less computing, Database, Azure App Services
  • Strong .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, Web API, TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIS skills with 8+ proven experience
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and standard processes.
  • Proficiency in crafting and deploying cloud-based applications using Azure PaaS and IaaS services.
  • Proven experience with enterprise-level cloud security and compliance standards.
  • Solid technical background with understanding of programming styles, frameworks, design patterns and unit testing
  • Proven experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to optimally collaborate with various team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
  • Ability to lead and guide multi-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
  • Experience in presenting technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
