Job Responsibilities:
· Design and develop layouts and physical infrastructure solutions for landline, cellular, voice, video, data, and wireless networks.
· Conduct planning, analysis, and redesign efforts for new and existing communications systems and subsystems.
· Utilize tools such as Visio and AutoCAD to create and maintain detailed technical drawings and schematics.
· Evaluate multiple design options and recommend solutions that optimize performance, efficiency, and future scalability.
· Review and refine designs to incorporate improvements in circuitry, power distribution, and automation/self-test functionality.
· Perform site surveys, develop installation standards, and contribute to infrastructure implementation planning.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that designs align with customer requirements, engineering standards, and operational goals.
· Address complex infrastructure challenges and provide guidance on industry best practices and innovative design strategies.
· Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and building codes.
· Maintain and update design documentation throughout the system development lifecycle.
· Have the ability to take highly technical information and translate it to understandable terms and examples.
· Empower team to be fully functional and productive by working in close cooperation across roles and functions, internal and external to the technology team
· Review and recommend solutions to remove barriers to incremental progress and shield the team from external interference
· Strong verbal and written communications skills
· Manage shared resources, budgets, time estimates and scheduling
Job Requirements:
At least 6 Six (6) years of professional work and leadership experience in relation to network areas such as
landlines, cellphones, voice, video and data networks; and wireless communications. Experience in
Visio and AutoCAD as well as more complex network engineering tasks. Experience in systems
studies including planning, design, development, and modifications of existing of planned voice
and data communications network systems and subsystems. This position is required to have a
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), Registered Communications
Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification
Candidate will work on-site.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field is preferred.
Certifications
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI). Alternatively, this certification can be obtained NLT 90 days after Task Order award.
