Job Purpose

  • Planning, Scheduling, Measuring, Monitoring & Control of Engineering work. Responsible for SCADA Technical/Engineering Management functions and related contractual aspects of Project scope.
  • Ensure Technical compliance to the customer & project requirements/specifications and YMA QMS requirements for the Project scope.
  • Manage and mentor the team of engineers assigned for projects and ensure high quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Lead a team of Engineers, interface with customers to provide technical direction & solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Project Management Office standards & following industry standard practices & meeting customer requirements.
  • Ensure high productivity of team members and optimization of resource utilization through efficient engineering methods (usage of tools, templates, engineering standards).
  • Ensure team meets workhours estimates & support productivity programs to improve efficiency.
  • Regular project reviews with project team and Project Managers.
  • Ensure full compliance to YMA QMS requirements.
  • Review the Project Contract, Technical Specifications and other customer requirements for  Projects scope and provide guidance to project team.
  • Review Overall Control system requriements including System Architecture design, Hardware components design, application engineering and provide techincal guidance.
  • Ensure high quality project deliverables through regular Design reviews and Quality audits, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Interface with cross automation discipline technical team (DCS, Plant information System) for integrated solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Drive lessons learned, sharing, toolkit development & knowledge management in general as well productivity improvements & areas of improvement.
  • Provide engineering scope status report to the Department Manager/Project Manager.
  • Ensure complete System engineering, documentation, FAT/IFAT, Start-up & successful commissioning at site.
  • Accountable for ensuring the successful technical delivery of the project & for developing customer relationships.

Qualification and Experience

  • A Degree in Engineering Field, preferably in Instrumentation & Control or Electronics or Electrical.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in the field of Instrumentation and control Systems.

Competencies

  • SCADA domain expertise for Oil/Gas, Pipeline & Utilities
  • Telemetry & PLC Systems programming & troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge on TCP/IP, Serial, Modbus, DNP3, HART, OPC2.0, Foundation Field bus protocol etc.
  • Working knowledge on various transmitters, control valves, temp/pressure/flow measuring devices, positioner, UV/Heat/Gas/Flame sensors, isolators, barriers, multiplexers, etc.
  • Working knowledge on Fiber Optic/Wireless/GSM /GPRS/UHF/CDMA communication.
  • Possess strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Skills

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of the control & safety systems and related applications.
  • Knowledge of IT platform and IT Applications.

Skills Required
