The Commercial Banking Sales department is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Lead Salesforce Product Analyst who is accountable for working with cross-functional development teams and business stakeholders to define user stories, manage and assist product roadmaps, service offerings and new features. This is a hands-on role which requires in-depth knowledge of Salesforce and the financial services sector, emerging trends in the banking industry and experience collaborating with agile teams. The candidate should have the ability to develop business cases and process flows in collaboration with users, agile design teams and potential external vendor partners. The Lead Salesforce Product Analyst will own and continuously refine the Salesforce user stories within the product backlog and assist the Product Owner with the prioritization of items for delivery based on value to business. Additionally, will act as the back-up liaison to the Product Owner between the business and agile teams, ensuring the teams understand the vision for the products. Works closely with the development team that addresses user story needs, provides real-time feedback and answers questions on an ongoing basis. Employs analysis practices and tactics including customer research, data and analytics and market research.

Product Strategy and Key Initiatives 

Enable key initiatives by assisting the Product Owner and/or Leading:

  • The overall Salesforce product strategy and technology roadmap to drive goals for specific Business capabilities.
  • Working with the product team and Salesforce vendor (AE/SEs) to manage current and future costs based on current product package; deep understanding of current contract, service offerings and emerging/changing product features to align with the Bank’s needs.
  • Analysis on data, analytics and end-to-end consideration at all times
  • OCM efforts (with dedicated OCM resource) with the management of communications, releases and status reporting of ongoing initiatives, including summarizing project risks and options and facilitating prompt decisions when needed.
  • Collaborates with internal and external business partners and leadership providing input in identifying and affecting product demand and assists in driving the product backlog prioritization and leverage industry best practices.
  • Maintains an understanding of financial services markets/industry, the competitive landscape and customer/user needs and requirements.

Business Analyst and Product Management

Partner with internal and external stakeholders and technology teams to define and enable solutions:

  • Works directly with business stakeholders to understand business needs and communicates them effectively to the product/project team. Translates business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Is part of the project team, working closely with the project manager and architects to ensure that product features are understood and align with the business stakeholder’s expectations.
  • Attends agile ceremonies (i.e. planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, iteration reviews) and other team meetings in order to provide necessary guidance.
  • Supports the team by being available to provide clarity required to complete detailed user stories.
  • Effectively compiles and documents business needs into features necessary for systems design, development, and implementation.
  • Assists the Product Owner with the business activities (training) required to support agile initiatives on an on-going basis.

Business and Product Execution

Identify opportunities and champion best-in-class business transformation and innovation:

  • Works closely with internal/external leads and partners to ensure product execution quality and success.
  • Continually acquires and enhances knowledge of both the Bank's and the Commercial and Private Banking Sales Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, back-office processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions, services and support to the end user business lines.
  • Ability to work on large-scale initiatives and effectively partner with stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather requirements and business process design.
  • Works with technology partners on enterprise planning, architecture reviews and ensures solutions are aligned; clearly communicates and escalates any misalignment.
  • Assists with quality assurance testing prior to any release and works with stakeholders and super users to facilitate UAT and rollout, if needed.

Product Knowledge, Communications and Training

Partner with product team and OCM lead to engage with end users and stakeholders on product knowledge, communications, deployments and trainings

  • Support the Product Owner and OCM lead in facilitating continuous communication efforts to promote, inform and educate users on both existing and upcoming functionalities.
  • Assist the Product Owner and team to develop and upkeep user guides and manuals, ensuring users are equipped with clear and accessible resources to maximize product understanding and adoption.
  • Support the OCM lead on Change Management strategy and adoption efforts
  • Provides training to new users on the system and becomes familiar with any new Salesforce features rolled-out through the Salesforce monthly/quarterly releases.

Enterprise & Regulatory Alignment

  • Support the Product Owner to maintain Salesforce alignment with enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including regulatory readiness, client experience and data governance.
  • Partner with risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure initiatives meet internal controls and regulatory expectations.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.


EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years direct relevant working experience in the financial services industry
  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis type role(s)
  • In depth knowledge of Salesforce platforms with demonstrated strength delivering effective solutions from concept to execution at scale in a cross line of business or enterprise environment
  • Salesforce administration, architect or development experience preferred
  • Salesforce product experience in (Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Tableau) a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical concepts so that they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives
  • 4+ years direct experience within an agile framework and Jira experience is preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Industry certifications such as SAFe, CSM or Salesforce certifications are preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders under tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of commercial and private banking products, operations, client lifecycle, and regulatory environment.
  • Track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects and delivering measurable results.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation skills are required. Ability to present and communicate effectively through remote virtual tools like Teams, WebEx, Zoom, as well as in-person when required. Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Business process flow experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; experience using tools such as Excel, Vizio, PowerPoint, project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project), and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to manage process discovery, process modeling, and process improvement activities.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions, summarize conclusions and approaches to mitigate risks.
  • Confidence to work with different personalities as a team player; able to work effectively with all levels of the organization, stakeholder and SME management
