About the Role
Glassdoor is seeking a passionate and analytical Lead Researcher, Worklife Trends to join our team, reporting to the Lead Economist. In this role, you will leverage the rich user-generated content (UGC) on Glassdoor, including company ratings, reviews, and community conversations, to uncover and analyze workplace culture trends. Your insights will shape the narrative around workplace culture in press, social media, and external publications, driving Glassdoor’s reputation as the go-to source for understanding the pulse of worklife trends.
What You’ll Do
- Trend Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of company ratings, reviews, and community conversations to identify emerging trends in workplace culture, employee satisfaction, and organizational behavior.
- Data-Driven Storytelling: Translate complex data and trends into compelling stories and insights that resonate with the media, social audiences, and Glassdoor users.
- Content Development: Collaborate with marketing, PR, and social media teams to create content that showcases Glassdoor’s unique insights into workplace trends, helping to build the brand's reputation as a thought leader in the space.
- External Engagement: Engage with media, industry analysts, and thought leaders to share Glassdoor’s insights, contributing to external narratives about workplace culture and employee experience.
- Community Building: Use insights to contribute to strategies that encourage community engagement on Glassdoor, fostering a sense of belonging and participation among users.
What You’ll Bring
- A commitment to add to our culture of DEI
- 5-7+ years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in analyzing and interpreting workplace culture and organizational behavior trends.
- Expertise in and ability to speak to worklife topics e.g., experience in organizational behavior, workplace culture, sociology, organizational psychology, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills to operate as a “full stack researcher.” Ability to synthesize large datasets using SQL and Python/R and extract meaningful insights. Possess good intuition around balancing generating novel insights and being grounded in our data.
- Excellent oral and written communication and data storytelling abilities, with a proven track record of creating engaging and impactful content. Experience in communicating data or technical content to lay audiences.
- Experience with social media content creation and interest in representing Glassdoor on social media.
- Passion for understanding and influencing workplace culture and employee experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range*: $128,400 - $170,500
*Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.
Bonus: 10%
*Bonuses are paid out bi-annually and the amount awarded is based on individual and company performance.

Being a remote-first company, Glassdoor employees can live anywhere Glassdoor is a registered company. Requests to move must be approved by an employee’s manager and the People team.
