In this role, you will apply your expertise across a set of interesting customers, diverse, sectors and complex challenges, on both major transformations (typically 6-18 months) and smaller-scope engagements. Your daily responsibilities as a Lead Software Engineer will be:

• Leading the technical direction of projects, particularly in React with Next.js, .NET C#, and Azure.
• Making key architectural and technological decisions throughout project delivery.
• Mentoring and developing team members, fostering growth in technical skills and knowledge.
• Empowering the team to innovate and solve problems effectively.
• Overseeing and enforcing high standards in code quality through rigorous code reviews.
• Actively leading and participating in agile ceremonies, ensuring the team adheres to best practices.
• Identifying, reviewing, and mitigating technical risks, issues, and impediments.
• Providing strategic technical feedback and reviews to guide the team.
• Actively collaborating with customers to understand their needs, provide technical insights, and ensure solutions align with their business goals. You will be the bridge between the technical team and the client, ensuring that customer expectations are met or exceeded while managing any changes in scope or requirements.
• Addressing and resolving technology-related impediments, ensuring smooth project progression.

Required Skills and Experience

The following skills/experience are necessary:

• 7 or more years in a similar role, with extensive experience in React, Next.js, .NET C#, and Azure.
• Proven leadership experience in front-end development with React and Next.js.
• Strong back-end development expertise with .NET C# and a solid understanding of Azure cloud services.
• Deep understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong time management, organisational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to support and inspire other team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• A constructive challenger approach, consistently seeking to drive improvement and innovation.

The following skills/qualifications are advantageous:

• A passion for emerging technology and new concepts.
• University degree in computer systems design or computer science or equivalent
• Practical knowledge and experience of a structured development life cycle, such as Agile or Scrum.
