The QA Engineer leads our quality assurance efforts. In this role, you'll define and implement the overall quality assurance strategy for our organisation, design and develop scalable test automation frameworks, and evaluate testing tools and technologies to enhance our QA processes.


You'll provide technical leadership to our QA team, drive innovation in QA methodologies, and ensure the highest standards of quality across our software products. The QA Engineer is a dynamic leader with a passion for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test strategies to ensure confidence in the software development life cycle.
  • Architect and develop robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and product/technical stakeholders to align quality assurance efforts with business goals.
  • Assess and triage the impact and scope of issues that arise during testing phases.
  • Integrate tests and testing frameworks seamlessly into continuous integration (CI) workflows.
  • Provide accurate reporting on the coverage and effectiveness of test strategies.
  • Define and implement the overall quality assurance strategy and roadmap for the organisation.
  • Lead the design and development of scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks to support continuous testing initiatives.
  • Evaluate and select testing tools and technologies to enhance QA processes and productivity.
  • Offer technical guidance and leadership to QA engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Drive innovation in QA processes and methodologies, identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to integrate quality standards into the software development lifecycle.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on quality assurance, providing guidance and support to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in quality assurance and software testing, integrating them into organisational practices.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and 2+ years of experience as a Senior QA Engineer, with a focus on test automation.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks for complex software projects.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, quality assurance best practices, and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, and Golang, with experience in test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Certification and familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, leveraging tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI.
  • Knowledge of database technologies and proficiency in SQL for investigating data issues.
  • Familiarity with API testing using OpenAPI/Swagger or gRPC.
  • Experience working in large-scale cloud-based environments, preferably AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
