About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead Test Automation Engineer / SDET to drive quality engineering across our product lines. This role requires deep expertise in test automation frameworks, CI/CD, and modern QA practices, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with Agentic AI in testing or automation workflows. As a technical leader, you will mentor a team of engineers, define quality strategies, and ensure seamless test coverage for functional, scalability, and performance aspects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks for web, API, and microservices-based applications.
- Drive automation-first testing strategies, ensuring scalable and reliable regression suites.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to define quality metrics, acceptance criteria, and automation coverage.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Apply Agentic AI concepts to testing – including self-healing tests, autonomous test generation, NLP-driven test case creation, and intelligent defect triage.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security testing is embedded into delivery.
- Mentor and guide QA engineers and SDETs on automation best practices, coding standards, and test strategies.
- Partner with product and DevOps teams to improve release quality and accelerate delivery cycles.
- Advocate for continuous improvements in testability, observability, and quality culture.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Quality Engineering / Test Automation.
- Strong expertise in Java, Python, or JavaScript for building automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, Postman, JMeter, or Gatling.
- Deep understanding of OOPs, design patterns, and Page Object Model (POM).
- Strong experience in API automation and microservices testing.
- Proven expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Exposure to Agentic AI, LLM-based test automation, or AI-assisted QA solutions (preferred).
- Experience with test reporting frameworks (ExtentReports, Allure, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate across engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments (commands, scripting, log analysis, environment setup).
- Strong database skills – SQL queries, schema validation, data integrity checks, and performance tuning.
- Fundamentals of Docker and Kubernetes for containerized and orchestrated test environments.
- Experience in AI-driven test automation (e.g., using RAG, autonomous test agents, NLP-based test generation).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity testing, vulnerability detection, or compliance automation.
- Contribution to open-source QA/automation tools or AI frameworks.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps and shift-left testing.
